If so, come join us at ATD Night at the Central PA Food Bank! Sign up by registering for this event and then meet us there on Sept 16 at 5pm. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the emergency food distribution network and they need our help now more than ever to be able to support our neighbors in need.

During this Covid-19 crisis the Food Bank has moved all volunteer packing to a Central Packing Operation located at 1530-B Bobali Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17104 (located off of South 19th Street). This new location is a packing operation only with no distributions. All volunteers need to be 18 or older. Please park in designated spaces in front of facility, no street parking.

NOTE:  This event is limited to 10 people, so if you register and can't attend, PLEASE un-register to make room for others.  There is no fee to register or un-register.  Thank you!

Volunteers must follow a few safety protocols. As of June 3, 2021, masks and gloves are no longer a requirement for volunteering, but they are a personal choice. We understand wearing a mask is a personal preference and we ask for respect and kindness toward those who choose to continue wearing a mask and gloves. You will be on your feet during the shift so please wear work boots or closed toe shoes, gloves are recommended.

All volunteers will verbally affirm on site to a CPFB staff they have not exhibited any COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days, or been in contact with someone who has. Please stay home if you have knowingly been around anyone who has been ill. Volunteer Coordinators will monitor for visible signs of any illness and graciously require impacted volunteers to exit to ensure group safety.
